On May 10, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jakhongir Khidaykhojayev met with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Xianfa, who arrived in Uzbekistan on a working visit.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting with Ferghana region officials and public figures, drew special attention to issues of providing the population with jobs and increasing their income.

In this regard the most important and national democratic institution of civil society in Uzbekistan is makhalla, which has been considered to be a unique institution that combines the lowest and regional branches of self-government in the country.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur organized a presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in Penang. The event was attended by leaders and members of the regional branch of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, established in 1975 and involving 3100 tourism structures.

On May 2, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Yury Fedotov, who arrived in Tashkent to attend the 11th meeting of the States Parties to the Memorandum of Understanding on Regional Cooperation in drug control.
