The United Nations Human Rights Council holds its forty-fourth regular session from 30 June to 20 July 2020 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan reports.
On July 13, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov held talks with the President of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Masatsugu Asakawa, via videoconference.
Videoconferences have been held with EU representatives to discuss the supply of two mobile laboratories, as well as the needs of the Republic of Uzbekistan to restrain and struggle against COVID-19 within the framework of the project 53 of the European Union “Strengthening the National Legal Framework and Provision of Specialized Training on Bio-Safety and Bio-Security in Central Asian Countries”.
A virtual workshop on development of national gene banks in the member states of the OIC has been held under the chairmanship of UAE. Around 160 delegates and experts from 30 OIC countries and 10 international organizations gathered at the event.

Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Turkey met and held negotiations with the leadership of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

On July 9-10, 2020, the fifth round of negotiations on the draft Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Union took place within the framework of the working group on political and security issues, via videoconference.
