In accordance with instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, given during previous visits, a monument to the great Chinese thinker Confucius was erected near Samarkand State University. Arbors in Chinese traditions have been erected on the square around the monument. The nine-storey educational administrative building of the university was renovated and equipped in accordance with the experience of prestigious foreign universities.
