Tashkent hosts the first International Investment Forum in Tourism Sphere at Uzexpocentre, which brought together more than 300 participants from 48 countries. These are investors, representatives of international financial institutions and organizations, experts of tourism industry, heads of large domestic and foreign companies.
On November 19-21, Uzbekistan will host the first International Tourism Investment Forum. The goal of the forum is to expand international cooperation in tourism development, attract direct investment and promote the country’s tourism potential.
Educational and Consulting Center of Tourism under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development in conjunction with the Association of Private Tourism Organizations within the framework of the second annual Global Entrepreneurship Week in Uzbekistan holds a roundtable on “Tourism. Education. Integration” with the support of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development and the Global Business and Technology Association.
The number of visits by foreign citizens to Uzbekistan for the first 9 months of 2018 increased to 3.9 million visitors, compared to 1.9 million people in the same period of 2017. However, the results can and should be better. Such a conclusion can be made on the fact that on November 2, 2018, the order of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev “On the creation of a group to study the issues of accelerated development of the tourism industry”, which has already identified ways of further development of the industry. Italian Tourism Week in Tashkent will be held on November 7-12 by the Educational Consulting Center of Tourism in cooperation with the Italian Institute Galileo Ferraris.
