On February 23, participants of the First International Forum on Ziyorat (Pilgrimage) Tourism, which was held in Bukhara, visited Samarkand.
Bukhara hosted the First International Forum “Ziyorat tourism” (Pilgrimage tourism).
The forum is organized by the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, the “Vaqf” Public Charity Fund, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bukhara Regional Khokimiyat, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
A press conference for local and foreign mass media was held within the framework of the First International Forum on Ziyorat (Pilgrimage) Tourism.
Participants of the First International Forum on Ziyorat (Pilgrimage) Tourism visited historical sites in Shofirkon, Romitan, Vobkent, Kogon districts. They became familiar with ziyorat tourism sites such as Mir Arab Madrasah, Masjidi Kalon mosque, Poi-Kalon Ensemble.
This week the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Singapore hosted the opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan-Singapore Tourism Centre in Singapore as a follow up to early cooperation agreement reached in 2018 between the State Committee for Tourism Development, the Embassy of our country and Singapore Company “S.E.A. Business Center Pte Ltd”.
