On July 9, 2019, the First Tourism Fair of the CIS countries kicked off in Samarkand. The event is organized at the initiative of the State Committee for Tourism Development within the framework of the regular meeting of the CIS Tourism Council.
The new project, developed in cooperation with Routern.com, “Virtual tour of Uzbekistan” allows visitors to become acquainted with Uzbekistan’s tourism attractions in 3D format.

On May 28, 2019, the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan №DP-5731 “On amendments and additions to some acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was signed. The document entered into force from the date of its signing.
On May 24-25 this year, Samarkand State University and “Silk Road” The International University of Tourism will hold an international conference “Renaissance tourism at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road”.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur organized a presentation of Uzbekistan’s tourism potential in Penang. The event was attended by leaders and members of the regional branch of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents, established in 1975 and involving 3100 tourism structures.
The 7th International Tourism Forum “Big Ural” will be held in Yekaterinburg on April 25-26, 2019, where Uzbekistan will present its national stand.
In 2018 Kazakhstan hosted Uzbekistan Tourism Year. Within its framework, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development, together with its Kazakh partners, carried out a number of activities. In particular, the first Uzbekistan – Kazakhstan tourism forum was held in March in Astana. More than 200 tour operators from the two countries attended it.
These days Embassy of Uzbekistan in Singapore joined hands with Uzbekistan-Singapore Tourism Center to present investments, trade and tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan.
