TASHKENT, November 20. /“Dunyo” IA/. The National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan in cooperation with UNDP and OHCHR Regional Office and Tashkent State University of Law, organized training webinars on human rights for law enforcement officials, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The event is aimed at improving the knowledge of international standards on human rights, application of these standards in law enforcement management.
The adoption of the National Strategy on Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan in June raised the issue of human rights education, including for civil servants, to the level of state policy.
The webinars will be held in two stages in November and December, covering the heads of judicial and law enforcement agencies and their education institutions. Webinars will help to improve the quality of law enforcement management. The training will end with testing.
