Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan hosted a meeting with the Executive Director at Japan Association for the 2025 World Exhibition, Masaki Iwakura.
Masaki Iwakura presented the plan for organizing the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition in Osaka from April 13 to October 13, 2025, in particular the concept of the preparatory process, conditions and other issues related to participation in the international exhibition.
Expo 2025 is a forthcoming World Expo sanctioned by the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE). The projected visitor count is approximately 28 million. The theme for the expo is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”, with sub themes of “Saving Lives”, “Empowering Lives” and “Connecting Lives”. Saving Lives includes infant vaccinations, sanitation, lifestyle (diet and exercise) and extending lifespans.
The parties discussed practical issues related to the participation of Uzbekistan at the World Exhibition in Osaka, including the organization of a national pavilion, “Days of Uzbekistan” and others.
Following the conversation, an agreement was reached on establishing close cooperation between the organizers of the international exhibition and agencies of Uzbekistan within the framework of preparation for the participation of the country in EXPO 2025, in Japan.
