Uzbekistan's obligations in freedom of religion

The event was organized by the OSCE, ODIHR, Uzbekistan NCHR, Committee for Religious Affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan.

 

Issues related to the nature, status and scope of the right to freedom of religion or belief in accordance with international standards and OSCE commitments, permissible restrictions on the right to freedom of religion or belief, as well as relationship between the right to freedom of religion or belief and other human rights, especially gender equality, were discussed.
