Uzbekistan’s team defeated the hosts with a score of 17:12 in the round-robin tournament, defeated the teams of Vietnam with a score of 35:27, Malaysia (31:17), Japan (36:30), Thailand (25:14), as well as the teams of Chinese Taipei and Hong Kong with a score of 34:29 and 36:28 respectively. They won all the games and became the champions of Southeast Asia.
