Following the championships with the participation of national teams from 51 countries, Uzbekistan’s young leather glove masters once again proved that Uzbek boxing occupies a firm place in this sport.
Uzbekistan national team, which won 4 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze medals at the World Championships, was solemnly welcomed at the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
At the event, with the participation of the Department Head of the Ministry of Youth Policy and Sports Akram Nezamiddinov, the Secretary General of Uzbekistan Boxing Federation Shahid Tillaboyev, parents and mentors of athletes, it was noted that the success of Uzbekistan’s talented boxers is the result of the attention paid to youth sports in the country.
At the competitions held in the rings of Yerevan, young boxers of Uzbekistan took third place after the national teams of Russia and Armenia.
