Uzbekistan, Turkey Leaders discuss current issues on the bilateral agenda

TASHKENT, October 13. /“Dunyo” IA/. As part of the Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our state, issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level on further strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were considered.

The main attention was paid to the promotion of joint investment projects and the implementation of new business initiatives, the participation of leading Turkish companies in the privatization of state-owned enterprises in Uzbekistan.

The importance of continuing active humanitarian exchanges, primarily in culture and education, was emphasized.

The Presidents discussed issues of preparation for the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States in November this year in the city of Samarkand. An agreement was reached to deepen a productive dialogue within the framework of regular ministerial meetings in the Uzbekistan – Türkiye – Azerbaijan format.
