BANGKOK, November 19. /“Dunyo” IA/. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Bangkok has organized a videoconference between the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan and the Tourism Authority of Thailand with participation of tourism business representatives of bоth countries, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The Uzbek side provided detailed information on tourism potential of the country, the work implemented to create new directions and opportunities, places for recreation, gastronomy, handicrafts, as well as conditions created for a comfortable stay of tourists.
Tour operators from Uzbekistan and Thailand exchanged experience on restoring tourist travel and organizing joint tours during and after the pandemic.
The Thai side expressed interest in organizing tours to Surkhandarya region, where there are Buddhist monuments. The parties exchanged contacts to establish cooperation and organize joint tours as the epidemiological situation stabilizes.
