MADRID, January 29. /“Dunyo” IA/. Chairperson of the Committee on International Affairs and Interparliamentary Relations of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan Dilorom Fayziyeva has held virtual talks with the Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Congress of Deputies of the Spanish Parliament, Pau Marí-Klose, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
At the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan is in favor of intensifying inter-parliamentary dialogue with Spain at various levels. The Spanish side noted that at present the role and importance of inter-parliamentary ties in the development of interstate relations are increasing.
The Spanish parliamentarian also expressed a special interest in enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan, including in agriculture, water resources, construction of power plants based on alternative energy sources, transport, tourism, and others.
In turn, the Uzbek side raised the issue of partnership in labor migration, the creation of joint educational areas for training highly qualified specialists, and the establishment of direct flights between Tashkent and Madrid.
The parties expressed their readiness to further develop inter-parliamentary cooperation and declared that there are great opportunities for the development of ties based on the principles of mutual respect.
