Seoul hosted Korea – Uzbekistan First Working Group Meeting on monitoring the implementation of agreements reached during the summits.
Among them are agreements on organization of a visit of South Korean business representatives to Uzbekistan, joint work on studying the issue of signing the Free Trade Agreement, assisting the Korean side in the process of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO, opening access of Uzbek fruits and vegetables to the Korean market.
At the event, Uzbekistan delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade L. Kudratov.
The parties discussed issues of accelerating the implementation of joint investment projects. Views were exchanged in the field of effective functioning of research centers for development of industry in Uzbekistan, introduction of digital healthcare in the country, strengthening cooperation in the pharmaceutical field and implementation of projects in various areas.
The next meeting of the working group will be held in September, in Tashkent.
