Uzbekistan, Russian Foreign Ministers discuss key issues of collaboration

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulaziz Kamilov, has met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow.

The parties exchanged views on the main issues of Uzbekistan – Russia agenda, as well as certain international and regional problems, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
 
The sides also discussed organizational aspects of the upcoming bilateral and multilateral events at various levels and formats, including under the chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the CIS.
 
Practical proposals for intensifying trade, economic and investment ties were considered at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the issues of cooperation in cultural and humanitarian sphere, implementation of specific joint projects in science, education and healthcare.
 
The ministers also discussed the progress in the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of meetings at various levels.
