JV Jizzakh Petroleum to trade with imported gasoline in Uzbekistan.

This month, Joint Venture Jizzakh Petroleum is set to open a network of gasoline stations in Uzbekistan for the sale of imported automotive fuel.

According to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz, in the new network, auto-gasoline of Ai-92, Ai-93, Ai-95 and Ai-98 grades, as well as diesel fuel meeting European quality and standards, will be sold at free commercial prices.

In addition to the sale of fuel through its system of gas stations, the joint venture will sell it under direct sales contracts and through exchange trades at free commercial prices.

The net of gas stations is not the only JV Jizzakh Petroleum project created in June 2017 by Uzbekneftegaz (60% stake in the joint venture) and Gas Project Development Central Asia (a subsidiary of Gazprom International, 40%). You may recall that in late April, the construction of a new oil refinery complex worth 2.2 billion US dollars was launched in the Jizzakh region. It is planned to complete construction by 2021. The general contractor will be Enter Engineering of the Gazprombank Group. To supply the complex with crudes, it is planned to build a pipeline of about 100 km long with an outlet to the oil pipeline Omsk-Pavlodar-Shymkent in Kazakhstan.

It is projected that the complex will process 5 million tons of hydrocarbon crudes a year, coming, in particular, from Russia and Kazakhstan. 3.7 million tons of motor fuel standard Euro-5 will be produced from it, as well as more than 700 thousand tons of aviation kerosene, along with liquefied gas, fuel oil, bitumen and other products.
