DUBAI, December 9. /“Dunyo” IA/. The National Day of Uzbekistan, a large-scale solemn event dedicated to the history, modern development and potential of the country, has been opened today at the Leadership Pavilion in Dubai within the framework of Expo 2020 Dubai, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The event began with the raising of flags and the performance of the anthems of Uzbekistan and the UAE.
Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Tolerance of the UAE, Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan and Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov welcomed the guests.
The event was attended by members of the government of the two countries, prominent representatives of the creative intelligentsia, business and public circles of Uzbekistan and the UAE, as well as visitors to Expo 2020 Dubai.
The official partner of the cultural program of the pavilion of Uzbekistan at Expo 2020 Dubai is the Art and Culture Development Foundation of the country. The pavilion is located on an area of 1739 square meters and under the motto “Mobility” conceptually represents a journey along the Great Silk Road, allowing learning the past that led to the success of modern Uzbekistan. Three elliptical structures of the pavilion symbolize the three historical cities of the Silk Road – Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva.
Several events have already taken place here, introducing the heritage, culture and potential of Uzbekistan.
