Uzbekistan’s Embassy in Malaysia together with the Consumption Union company has held a business forum in Kuala Lumpur, aimed at presenting the investment and export potential of Uzbekistan and its business image, attracting Malaysian companies to cooperation.
The business forum was attended by representatives of about 200 Malaysian government agencies, industrial and trading companies, including the leadership of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry – MITI, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation – MATRADE, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority – MIDA and the Department of Standards of Malaysia – DSM.
Following the event, agreements were reached to organize a three-day webinar for Uzbekistan companies in e-commerce development with involvement of relevant specialists.
It is also planned to organize a visit of Malaysian businesspeople to Uzbekistan to hold a joint business forum, meetings with the leadership of relevant ministries and agencies of the country to discuss prospects for development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the business communities of the two countries as the epidemiological situation stabilizes.
