Uzbekistan, Latvia hold high-level experts meeting

RIGA, December 14. /Dunyo IA/. On December 11, Uzbekistan – Latvia meeting of high-level experts was held via videoconference, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Uzbekistan delegation was headed by the Deputy Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Badriddin Abidov, the Latvian – by the Acting State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics Zaiga Liepina.

The parties discussed issues of Uzbekistan – Latvian trade, investment and economic relations, interaction in transport and logistics, education, digitalization, external labor migration.

Zaiga Liepina positively assessed the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, confirming the readiness to support them.

In order to fill the agenda with practical content and increase the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation, an agreement was reached to intensify work in all key areas of interaction in order to reach concrete results by the upcoming IGC meeting in early 2021.
