On July 16, an international videoconference was held on “Agricultural collaboration between Uzbekistan and Indonesia”, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Indonesia.
The event was attended by representatives of Tashkent State Agrarian University, Gulistan State University, the State Plant Quarantine Inspection under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Ministry of Agriculture of Indonesia, Bogor Agricultural University, Agency for Agricultural Quarantine and the Indonesian Food and Beverage Association.
The participants discussed the current state, existing problems and prospects of bilateral cooperation in agriculture.
Following the event, agreements were reached on accelerating the process of coordinating quarantine procedures of the two countries to establish export/import of agricultural products, create a joint working group to expand the commodity range of agricultural products, conduct online lectures for students of Uzbekistan and Indonesian agricultural higher education institutions.
