Uzbekistan, India strengthen trade-economic cooperation

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India Dilshod Akhatov held a videoconference with the Minister of Railways and Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Government of India Piyush Goyal.

 

During the conversation, P. Goyal stressed that the historical closeness and strong friendship between India and Uzbekistan people, as well as regular and trusting dialogue between the leaders of the two countries, allowed to bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level.
 
The current dynamics and prospects of cooperation development between Uzbekistan and India in trade and investment were discussed. A huge potential and mutual interest in increasing cooperation in these areas were noted.
 
The progress of working out relevant bilateral documents, issues of mutual lifting of quarantine restrictions for access of Uzbekistan and India products to the markets of the two countries were also discussed.
