Uzbekistan, India strengthen military cooperation

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in India organized a meeting with the Defence Secretary of the Ministry of Defence of India, Ajay Kumar.

 

Ajay Kumar noted that the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and India is rapidly developing on the basis of friendly and close relations. Delhi is interested in strengthening large-scale ties with Tashkent. He also empahsized that significant progress has been achieved within the framework of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, and the partnership has risen to a new level.
 
It was noted that there are many opportunities for further development of mutual contacts between the defence ministries of the two countries and the expansion of cooperation within the framework of promising projects, as well as agreements were reached on a number of issues.
 
The Indian side was provided with detailed information on the initiatives and proposals voiced by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly held in September this year.
