Uzbekistan, India develop cooperation in the leather and footwear industry

DELHI, January 25. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in India hosted a meeting with the head of the Indian company East West Tanners, Muhammad Yunus, and the Managing Director of Footwear Design & Development Institute, Arun Kumar Sinha, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

At the meeting, the Indian side was informed in detail about the existing opportunities in the leather and footwear sector of Uzbekistan. Specific project proposals for mutually beneficial cooperation were presented.

The head of the East West Tanners touched upon the existing opportunities for further development of cooperation in leather footwear production. At the same time, it was noted that it is important to provide the industry with qualified specialists and systematically conduct their retraining.

In turn, the Managing Director of Footwear Design & Development Institute announced his readiness to establish cooperation with Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry in relevant areas.
