TASHKENT, December 29. /“Dunyo” IA/. In January-November, Uzbekistan imported 455.8 thousand tons of potatoes worth .2 million from 13 foreign countries, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to the State Statistics Committee, potato imports increased by almost 74.2 thousand tons compared to the corresponding period last year.
The largest quantities of this type of goods were purchased in Kazakhstan (150 thousand tons), Iran (136 thousand tons), Pakistan (128 thousand tons), Kyrgyzstan (24 thousand tons), the Netherlands (11 thousand tons), Russia (4.5 thousand tons) and France (616 tons).
The total import of goods and services to Uzbekistan for 11 months of the year amounted to 482.1 million. The main share in its structure was occupied by machinery and transport equipment (32.8 percent), industrial goods (18.5 percent), as well as chemicals and similar products (14.5 percent).
