TASHKENT, June 3. /“Dunyo” IA/. A new badge “Friendship of Peoples” has been established in Uzbekistan, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The badge will be awarded to employees of local and foreign government agencies, non-profit organizations, business entities, representatives of the social sphere and the media, as well as compatriots abroad who have made a worthy contribution to strengthening the atmosphere of friendship and harmony between representatives of all nationalities and peoples living in the country.
The Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers has organized a commission to consider submissions for awarding a badge.
The Chairman of the Committee may, on his own initiative, award representatives of foreign partners, embassies of foreign countries in Uzbekistan and representative offices of international organizations with a badge for their contribution to strengthening the atmosphere of interethnic friendship and harmony.
The badge is awarded in a solemn atmosphere annually on July 30 – the Friendship of Peoples Day.
