Uzbekistan Embassy in Malaysia hosts a meeting with Malaysian companies

At the event, a presentation was organized on the investment, transport, communication and tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the support provided by the Government of Uzbekistan to the private sector, including within the framework of free economic zones.

 

The Malaysian side highly appreciated the reforms being carried out under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan, aimed at improving the business environment in the country.

 

Malaysian businesspeople expressed interest in establishing partnership with Uzbekistan enterprises for the possible joint implementation of promising investment projects and organizing the export of Uzbek textile, fruit and vegetable products to the Malaysian market.

 

Following the event, a number of agreements were reached. In particular, it was decided to hold virtual talks between the leadership of the Agency for the Development of Small Business and Entrepreneurship of Uzbekistan and SMEAM, representatives of the Malaysian company CSW Marketing and “Uztuqimachiliksanoat” Association to discuss the organization of export of finished Uzbek textile products and linen to Malaysia. It is also planned to organize the visit of the SMEAM delegation to Uzbekistan for holding a joint business forum and B2B meetings to determine specific areas of cooperation between the businesspeople of the two countries.
