Representative of Uzbekistan Akmal Saidov has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Inter-Parliamentary Union for 2020-2023 during the IPU Assembly, in Belgrade, Serbia.
According to the Permanent Mission of Uzbekistan in Geneva, the candidacy of the Chairman of the Committee of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis Akmal Saidov was nominated by the Eurasia Group of the IPU and unanimously approved by all member countries of the organization in the elections in Belgrade.
Membership in the IPU Executive Committee will allow Uzbekistan to take part in developing the world agenda of the international parliamentary interaction.
