On December 13-19, a meeting of the working groups of the joint Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan intergovernmental commission on the issues of delimitation and demarcation of the State border between the Republic of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan was held in Turkmenabad city.
At the meeting, the parties considered the results of joint field topographic and geodetic works on Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan State border area, summarized the work carried out in 2018, as well as agreed on the schedule of meetings for 2019.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties also developed the package of draft normative documents on demarcation of Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan State border.
The meeting was held in traditional atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
Following the negotiations, a Protocol was signed.
