Uzbekistan delegation to attend Eurasian Intergovernmental Council Meeting

TASHKENT, February 5. /“Dunyo” IA/. Today, the government delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, will take part in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, to be held in Almaty. The delegation will also attend the “Digital Almaty 2021” International Forum, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Eurasian Intergovernmental Council Meeting will be attended by the heads of government of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia as member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as observer countries.

The main objectives of the forum are the formation of the agenda at the regional and global level in digitalization, new strategies for digital transformation and trends in new technologies, as well as discussion of further steps and prospects for international cooperation.

It should be noted that Uzbekistan received observer status in the EAEU on December 11, 2020, at the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council Summit, which was attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
