On October 14-18, 2019, a meeting of the 38th session of the Working Group III: Investor-State Dispute Settlement Reform was held in Vienna, where issues of reforming the dispute settlement system between investors and states were considered.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Austria, Uzbekistan delegation was presented by a doctor of legal sciences Islambek Rustambekov. He expressed the position on relevance of detailed regulation of issues of financing investment disputes by third parties, the need for determining responsibility in case of non-compliance with such regulation.
Issues of creation of a new international investment court, the adoption of a code of conduct of international arbitrators, and others were discussed at the session.
