The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing with participation of representatives of the State Committee for Tourism Development held negotiations with Foreign Affairs Office of Sichuan Province, via videoconference.
Participants focused on further development of cooperation between Sichuan and Uzbekistan regions and the city of Tashkent, in particular in tourism, trade-economic, investment, cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Cooperation prospects in education were also discussed. An interest was expressed in jointly studying the issue of opening a branch of Sichuan University in Uzbekistan.
An agreement was reached to effectively use the tourism potential of Uzbekistan cities and Sichuan province, as well as organize a visit of Sichuan University delegation to Uzbekistan in the near future.
