Uzbekistan, China Foreign Ministers discuss further strengthening bilateral relations

Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov has met with member of the CPC Central Committee of PRC, Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi, in Moscow.

 

Heads of foreign ministries discussed the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as in security, specified the agenda of the talks at the Foreign Ministry.
 
Special attention was paid to the issues of further strengthening Uzbekistan – China strategic partnership.
 
The ministers exchanged views on the schedule of the upcoming joint events at various levels.
 
The importance of close interaction and coordination of efforts to maintain the pace and development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation was emphasized.
 
The parties expressed interest in further expanding ties to exchange experience in diagnosing coronavirus and treating those infected, improving the qualifications of doctors and developing an antiviral vaccine, as well as preventing the consequences of the pandemic.
 
Ministers welcomed the decision to hold the first round of inter-Afghan talks in Doha.
 
Issues of multilateral cooperation within the UN, SCO and other international organizations were also discussed at the meeting.
