Hokim of Kashkadarya region Zoyir Mirzayev has taken part in the opening ceremony of Yichang International Citrus Online Trade Fair (China), via videoconference.
As Hokim noted, a multifaceted trade-economic cooperation has been established between various provinces of China and Kashkadarya region.
There are 25 Uzbekistan – China joint ventures in the region. Accelerated work is underway to implement 10 projects with participation of Chinese capital.
In particular, the Anhui Conch Cement company of Anhui province in Kitab district is implementing a cement production project, and LT Textile International LLC in Karshi district is implementing a yarn production project.
“We are glad to take part in this event. Due to the climatic conditions in the region, it is possible to grow not only lemons, but also oranges and tangerines. Therefore, I propose to establish cooperation with Ichan on development of appropriate varieties of these fruits and creation of a lemon growing cluster. I am convinced that we will be able to establish mutually beneficial cooperation with China in another area and achieve high results”, says Z. Mirzayev.
