BAKU, April 22. /“Dunyo” IA/. On April 20, Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhrom Ashrafkhanov has met with the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan Fuad Nagiyev, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The parties discussed the efforts made by Uzbekistan to promote domestic tourism potential.
Mr. Fuad Nagiyev highly appreciated the achievements of Uzbekistan in tourism. He expressed confidence that the measures taken in Uzbekistan in this direction will lay a solid foundation for a manifold increase in the flow of tourists to the country soon.
Touching upon the cooperation in tourism, he fully joined the diplomatic mission’s assessments of the presence of largely unrealized potential. Promotion of ties between travel companies of the two countries, including the implementation of combined tours and mutual exchange of experience, could have a positive impact on the dynamics of development of cooperation in this direction.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to undertake joint efforts to further increase the tourist flow in both directions and to promote the recognition of the tourism brands of the two countries in the international arena.
