Over 3,600 athletes from 110 countries participated in these competitions. Uzbekistan team was represented by 5 athletes. Karateka Doston Otabolayev, who performed in the weight category up to 75 kilograms, was awarded a bronze medal, in the same sport Darya Latysheva won a silver medal.
Thus, Uzbekistan delegation won 1 silver and 1 bronze medal in Birmingham.
