/"Dunyo" IA/. During his visit to Kuala Lumpur, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, engaged in discussions with Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Haji Hasan.
"Had a fruitful discussion with H.E. Mohamad Haji Hasan, Foreign Minister of Malaysia, – the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Despite the considerable distance between Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur, Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Malaysia can and should constantly seek new points of contact and facilitate the expansion of the political, parliamentary, economic, cultural, and humanitarian dialogue".
The meeting follows a significant encounter between Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Malaysia’s King Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah during the UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai on December 1, 2023. Discussions during that encounter focused on enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the economic sphere.
