/«Dunyo» IA/. On January 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation on the work carried out in geology and plans, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our state, geology is of strategic importance in providing resources for Uzbekistan’s growing economy. In recent years, 1 trillion UZS per year have been allocated to this area, and the necessary conditions are being created. As a result, the exploration of 31 thousand square kilometers of new areas was carried out.
Thanks to the opportunities created for the private sector, investors are attracted to the development of deposits. Today, investment projects worth newscat="%" billion 700 million are being implemented in the industry.
At the same time, there are many untapped opportunities in the sphere. The deposits and the scale of their development can be expanded.
The presentation included information about promising projects and plans for the current year.
The Head of state listened to the report and identified tasks that need to be implemented in the near and long term. The importance of strategic planning and advanced development in the field was emphasized.
Measures to increase the volume of geological exploration and effectively exploit identified reserves were discussed.
Tasks have been set to continue to attract foreign technologies and investments into the industry, thereby increasing the efficiency of geological exploration and production.
The need to increase coal production by 22 percent was noted, considering the population’s needs, the social sphere, and industries. The issue of processing enrichment waste based on best practices was also considered.
