“Dunyo” IA/. Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Kim Jin-pyo, in Seoul, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
According to Uzbekistan MFA, the head of the South Korean parliament noted the importance of the Central Asian region in Seoul’s foreign policy strategy as a key hub between East and West.
The high assessment was given to the achieved level of special strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Korea in such priority areas as economy, finance, energy, industrial cooperation, information technology, e-government, agriculture, education and healthcare.
The Korean side was informed about the special commission established in the Parliament of Uzbekistan led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis to monitor the effective implementation of projects with the Republic of Korea in all areas of interaction.
Prospects for increasing interaction between the two countries' parliaments, through public diplomacy and cultural-humanitarian exchanges, were discussed.
