Uzbekistan is on the eve of the 22nd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which will be held on 15-16 September in Samarkand. Leading experts from the SCO member states confirmed their participation in the meeting events.

TASHKENT, September 14. /“Dunyo” IA/. Today, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa arrived to participate in the events of the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Samarkand, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

Power unit No. 4 of the Beloyarsk NPP with the BN-800 fast reactor has been connected to the grid and resumed operations upon completion of the scheduled maintenance. After the recent refueling, the BN-800 core, for the first time in history, has been fully loaded with uranium-plutonium MOX fuel.

In an article by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan timed to coincide with the upcoming SCO Summit in Samarkand, the existing urgent problems of the international community are considered on a systematic basis. The article of the Head of the state is distinguished by its depth, forwards the idea of ​​the need for constructive dialogue and multilateral cooperation, based on the interests of each country.

The development of cooperation between the SCO countries in the humanitarian sphere was outlined in its founding document – the Charter – and identified as one of the priorities of the Organization.

On September 15-16, the ancient and eternally young city of Samarkand will host a historic SCO Summit. The forum will sum up the results of Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the Organization, which, in difficult conditions, has done a great job to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation within the SCO.
