On May 26, 2020, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a videoconference on investment issues. The progress of implementation of the Investment Program for January-April of the current year was analyzed and measures to ensure the unconditional fulfillment of forecast indicators, including the commissioning of large production facilities, social facilities and infrastructure, were discussed.
For the first time, Uzbekistan is planning to introduce the scientific organizations rating system. This is followed from the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan “On measures to introduce the scientific organizations rating” dated May 11, 2020. The document, in turn, will execute Presidential decree “On measures to further strengthen the infrastructure of scientific-research entities and development of innovative activities” dated April 1, 2017.
The legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan guarantees equal rights for women in their participation in political, social and economic activities of the country. Uzbekistan has built a system to defend women’s rights doing business and provide necessary consultancy and support.
