Ambassador of Uzbekistan Gayrat Fazilov has met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Takashi Uto.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, the parties exchanged views on enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Japan.
The Japanese side highly appreciated the large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in various fields.
In order to implement the agreements reached, during the official visit of the head of Uzbekistan to Japan in 2019, the sides discussed ways to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries in the context of a pandemic, as well as expand mutually beneficial cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Issues of mutual support of the candidates of the two countries within the framework of international organizations, as well as close coordination of activities within the framework of the Dialogue “Central Asia + Japan”, were also discussed at the meeting.
