On May 26, 2020, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on establishment of “Mehr-Sakhovat” badge was adopted.
The badge is awarded to Uzbekistan citizens for courage and bravery shown in overcoming the trials that our people had to endure during the widespread coronavirus pandemic, which became a global threat, while eliminating the consequences of various natural disasters and emergencies; worthy continuation and development of such high spiritual values and traditions of our people as mercy, generosity and kindness; a great contribution to turning into a nationwide movement activities to comprehensively support socially vulnerable segments of the population; effective distribution of charitable funds, initiative in providing timely gratuitous assistance to the population in a difficult situation; active participation shown in today’s difficult times in strengthening the atmosphere of peace, tranquility, unity and mutual understanding in our society; an example of charity and good deeds.
Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) leadership presented awards to a group of employees who were awarded “Mehr-Sakhovat” badge.
This year, which brought numerous losses not only in Uzbekistan, but throughout the world, our people are going through hard times. This is primarily due to the coronavirus pandemic, which has become a global problem, as well as emergencies in Bukhara region and at Sardoba reservoir in Syrdarya region.
The effective implementation of large-scale measures also includes the contribution of UzA staff. In particular, within the framework of the campaign organized by the agency, the victims of the natural disaster in Sardoba received more than 100 million UZS, essential products, clothes.
Such activities did not go unnoticed by the Head of the state and people. Another confirmation of this was the awarding of ten UzA employees with “Mehr-Sakhovat” badge.
