Turkish business plans to enhance its presence in Uzbekistan

Ankara hosted a roundtable discussion with participation of representatives of Turkey’s Bengi İnşaat company.

 

At the event, a presentation of the development strategy of “New Uzbekistan” took place, including the investment climate and tourism potential of the regions of the country, as well as progress in combating the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
It was noted that earlier with the issue of implementation of a project for the construction of a large modern hotel and restaurant in Kashkadarya region of Uzbekistan with an adjacent commercial zone and trading floors was worked out by the Turkey’s Bengi. By the decision of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bengi Holding, Ibrahim Bengi, the company has already opened its representative office in Uzbekistan and held a number of negotiations at the hokimiyat of Kashkadarya region.
 
The company is currently considering investment opportunities in other projects in Uzbekistan. In particular, the development of a feasibility study for a project to create in Andijan a modern local system for collecting, sorting and processing household waste, as well as their use as fuel for electricity generation, is nearing completion.
 
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue interaction, including by organizing virtual meetings at the expert level for further detailed discussion and identification of specific areas of cooperation.
