These days Embassy of Uzbekistan in Singapore joined hands with Uzbekistan-Singapore Tourism Center to present investments, trade and tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan.
40 representatives of business-circles from 30 different companies in Singapore attended the event.
In his presentation, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Singapore Kahramon Shakhirov spoke about achievements reached by our country in the areas of tourism and economy. He highlighted the efforts put in holding new positions in World Bank’s “Doing Business” ranking, issuing debut bonds and receiving “B1” stable rating by Moody.
The CEO of the Uzbekistan-Singapore Tourism Center, Rudy Fang in his speech highlighted the growing interest of Singaporean tourists towards Uzbekistan.
- Compare to 2017 the number of tourists doubled from 611 to 1,842 people in 2018. The Government of Uzbekistan has achieved great success in developing the area of tourism, - as stated by R.Fang.
The President of “IPOS Society” Alan Ng noted the efforts of our country in strengthening economic and investment potential.
- I think that Uzbekistan has reached a great benchmark. Your country has grown from 166 to 76 place in Doing Business Rating which is the evidence of development. I believe more people in ASEAN should know about your country. Moreover, Uzbekistan can become a great place to launch a business, - said A.Ng.
