TEHRAN, May 1. /“Dunyo” IA/. On April 28-30, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Iran took part in the International Exhibition of the Traditional Clothing of the Islamic World, in Tehran, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.
The opening ceremony of the event was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Iran, the ECO Cultural Institute, the UNESCO Regional Representation Center, representatives of public and political circles, the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited in Tehran.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan organized a national stand, which aroused great interest among visitors with the variety and beauty of national men’s and women’s costumes, symbolizing the historical traditions, lifestyle and age-old customs of the Uzbek people.
Visitors got acquainted with the folk arts and crafts of Uzbekistan, information about the famous tourist sites of the country, interesting travel routes, hotels and service tourism infrastructure.
The photo exposition dedicated to ancient cities, unique architectural monuments, tourist attractions, national cuisine, unique natural landscape and modern development of Uzbekistan aroused great interest in the audience.
