Uzbekistan delegation attends the 23rd Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism

ROME, November 29. /“Dunyo” IA/. Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan took part in the 23rd Mediterranean Exchange of Archaeological Tourism in Italy’s Paestum, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The exhibition was attended by over 10 thousand guests who got acquainted with almost 100 pavilions and stands from 20 countries (Australia, Israel, Jordan, Spain, Cuba, Malaysia, Mexico, Slovakia, Tunisia, Turkey, Ecuador, Estonia, Uzbekistan and others).

Detailed information was provided on the rich spiritual and cultural-historical heritage, historical and cultural monuments of Uzbekistan included in the World Heritage List and the UNESCO Representative List, natural and climatic conditions and attractions of the country.

At the event, information was provided on measures taken by Uzbekistan to liberalize the visa regime, including the introduction of a visa-free regime for citizens of 92 countries, on ongoing projects to enhance the tourism infrastructure, including the development of new tourism directions, such as ecotourism, ethnic-tourism, cultural, gastronomic, beach, mountain and ski tourism.

In addition, the guests of the exhibition got acquainted with the project being implemented in Uzbekistan to create safe conditions for the stay of tourists “Uzbekistan. Safe Travel Guaranteed”, within which all objects of the tourism sector and public places comply with the uniform requirements of sanitary and hygienic standards in a pandemic.
