“We have this rule within our group. Every morning we receive the SMS notification from Tushar to arrive to the parking lot on time”, says one of the “Road to London” expedition members.

“We have to leave the destination on time and stick to our schedule”, adds Tushar.

“Guess what, no morning starts from Tushar and Sanjay actually coming to the place the first”, reinforces Sai Divi.

These words prove the family ties members of expedition are able to build within their 18 countries road trip. Now, they arrived to Uzbekistan.

It takes 16,000 thousand kilometers for “Road to London” expedition group from different parts of India, including travelers from United Kingdom to embrace various cultures and traditions of the world.

It started back in 2013. That year, co-founders of the initiative Tushar Agarwal and Sanjay Madan travelled across 6 continents.

“Upon returning to India, we decided to extend our group as well the travel destinations”, says Sanjay.

“The road trip from India to London gives you an opportunity to expose yourself with lives of people in the historical cities of the ancient Silk Road. Coming to Tashkent and Samarkand is vital in that sense”, adds Sanjay.

In fact, “Road to London” is paying its third visit to Uzbekistan and there is always a good reason to come back. “When we come to your country, we feel like home”, says Sanjay with honesty.

– This is people to people contact which is actually the root of all relations between countries, because after all, it is all about and for the people, says Counsellor at the Embassy of India in Uzbekistan Sipra Ghosh. – Such expeditions are generally carried out to spread global messages like peace, family values, recreation and adventure”.

Uzbekistan has to offer something different to all travelers.

– Samarkand was spectacular, – shares Shona Walton from United Kingdom. – Seeing exquisitely constructed Registan, which is in demand among many travelers across the globe, has had a huge impact on me.

– I often times bring back my first memories of travelling to Uzbekistan, –says Tushar Agarwal. - As we drove through Fergana valley, I was blown away by the amount of trees, clean valleys and settlements. Besides, I’ve got to try strawberries that felt so rich. Ever since, I have never had similar ones anywhere else in the world.

Nowadays, Uzbekistan is taking dynamic steps to develop tourism and welcome more guests to country. Visit of specialized groups like “Road to London” play significant role in propelling tourism and cultural potential of our county on an international scale.
