Organizing charter flights to Uzbekistan discussed in Tokyo

TOKYO, June 15. /“Dunyo” IA/. Representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan held a meeting with the Vice Chairperson of Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), Special Adviser to Nippon Travel Agency, Akihiro Horisaka, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

The parties discussed issues of enhancing cooperation, implementation of charter programs, as well as the possibility of organizing trips of cultural workers to Uzbekistan.

JATA Vice Chairperson emphasized that in recent years the flow of Japanese tourists to Uzbekistan has significantly increased and the Central Asia region has become a popular destination for the Japanese.

The sides considered issues of organizing visits of Japanese cultural workers to Uzbekistan, holding the annual meeting of JATA in 2022 in the city of Samarkand.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the joint study of issues of organizing charter flights from the cities of Japan to Uzbekistan, holding joint cultural events, as well as continuing interaction on other issues of mutual interest.
