King of Spain receives the Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan

TASHKENT, January 24. /“Dunyo” IA/. Yesterday, King of Spain Felipe VI received Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov, in Spain, reports “Dunyo” IA correspondent.

According to the State Committee for Tourism Development, the meeting took place at the Palacio Real de Madrid as part of an official reception on behalf of the Spanish monarch, given in honor of the heads of foreign delegations taking part in the 113th session of the UNWTO Executive Council.

At the meeting, the historical bonds of friendship were noted, when the Spanish Ambassador Ruy González de Clavijo was sent to the court of the great ruler Amir Temur.

The parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation between Uzbekistan and Spain to increase tourist exchange, as well as improve the tourism industry of Uzbekistan.

King Felipe VI, in turn, warmly recalled his meeting with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in June 2017 in Astana within the framework of the SCO summit.

During his stay in Spain, the head of Uzbekistan delegation also met with the UNWTO Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili.
